Description: This is a small project for an existing website (www.printcountry.com)

We sell ink cartridges and refill kits for inkjet printers, and laser toners for laser printers. If customers have a problem, we direct them to our FAQ page at www.printcountry.com/FAQ.asp. There are many questions there and they may not be in the right order, therefore it could be confusing and frusturating for the visitor.

We want to have a interactive troubleshooting tool that will ask questions each step and offer solution.

Exmaple:

"What is the nature of your visit today"
o Ink Cartridge Problem
o Refill Kit Problem
o Laser Toner Problem

(Let's say first option is selected)

"What type of cartrigde you have"
o Original (OEM) from the printer manufacturer
o Remanufactured cartridge
o Compatible (such as G&G, ProColor, or other brand)

(Lets say second one is selected)
"What is the nature of the problem"
o Printer does not print
o Poor quality
o It prints very slow
o Cartridge does not fit
...

So we need to know
1) The problem (cartridge itself, printer itself, driver/software etc.)
2) the product (ink cartridge, toner cartridge, or refill kit)
3) Product type (ink cartridges can be OEM, remanufactured, or compatible; toner cartridges can be OEM or remanufactured, refill kits have no other type)
4) Product age (bought less then a week ago, less than a month ago, less than 3 months, 3 months or more)
5) more question branches based on the previous questions. Such as operating system, or printer brand.

THIS PROJET WILL REQUIRE SOME ANALYSIS AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

I will provide every help to make things clear, but here is what you need to do. Take these FAQs and make them questions directed to the end user. Skip irrelevent questions such as "How can I be a printer technician", or "Does refilling my cartridge void the warranty". Clearly these are not solving a problem and they are not qualified as troublshooting answers. Here are the FAQs you can use as a resource:

Refill kit related troubleshootings can be found here:
http://www.printcountry.com/faq-troubleshooting-refill-kits.asp

Shelf-life related answer, recognition-related answer:
http://www.printcountry.com/faq-our-products.asp
(Info on this page such as "What does OEM mean" can be also used for small help pop-ups in the troubleshooting tool since they may not know what type of cartridge they have.)

Print-Quality related questions and answers:

There is a ink stain related question for refill users here:
http://printerinkquestions.printcountry.com/category/Printer%20Ink%20Other-7.htm

Printer Software related:
http://printerinkquestions.printcountry.com/category/Printer%20Software-14.htm

Printer Hardware related:
http://printerinkquestions.printcountry.com/category/Printer%20Repair-10.htm

Some of these tips can be turned into TS:
http://printerinkquestions.printcountry.com/category/Printer%20Tips-15.htm
(For example, the tip "How to speed up network printer?" in that page can be an answer to a question in one of the steps if the user selected "My printer is slow" in previous step. Just to give you an idea...)

We should be able to add questions and answers to the database at any time. Each step should have a back button (you can also use "skip" button if needed). Also explanations of terms should be provided as a popup or a similar concept (such as "What is OEM" - these can also be found in FAQ)

Web site is in classic ASP, but we want this tool to be done in ASP.NET (preferably in C#) if possible. This will help us to see some database design (MS SQL 2000), project analysis, and coding skills, which will open the possibilities of bigger projects in the future.

Thank you.
