Description: my site oscommerce site went down with hosting company, i uploaded a backcopy and backup of mysqyl, after everything is completed this error showed

Unable to connect to database server!

i looked in mysqyl and there was no user, so i created one and it did not work, so i deleted it and left the mysql file alone. i have this problem on two sites and need fixed ASAP. thanks, jeff
