Bid On This Project

Description

We need an experienced to semi-experienced ASP.NET programmer who has worked on large projects before to assist in creating another large project.

In the beginning, you will only be asked to create a small portion of the project. We would like to use VB.NET and MSSQL. It will be very heavy on the database side, but expect to have the database schema already prepared for you. Your job will be to create the ASP.NET scripts and forms that validate the data, input it into the database, and read it back later on.

This portion of the application will have 3 parts: A login form, a searchable and sortable list of information (from a database), and a multipage form that allows you to add, view, and alter that information.

The multipage form will have tabs (around 5 or 6 pages). You should be able to move freely between the tabs without losing information that was put in. Each form will store the information in a session or a cookie until the entire form (all pages) are ready to be submitted and inserted into the database.

This information should then be searchable from a search page that will display all matching items. The search results will display specific fields and those fields should be sortable. Both the search page and the forms should require the user to be logged in.

Once I accept a bid I will give you the database schematics and screenshots and/or diagrams necessary.

I am more likely to accept your bid if you live in the Kansas City Metro area and can meet in person once we begin, but that is NOT a requirement.

I am asking for a small bid here because if you do a good job, I may ask you to continue working on the application and it could add up to a larger amount of money in the long run. But I don't expect you to give an unreasonably low bid, of course. I'm expecting that the above work can be finished in 15 to 25 hours.
